Chocolate Caramel Macadamia Nut Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.333333 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup macadamia nuts, toasted and chopped
  • 6 tablespoon cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • header Filling
  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter melted
  • 0.5 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 0.333333 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon bourbon or dark rum
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1.75 cup macadamia nuts, toasted, chopped coarse
  • 6 ounce coarsely chopped semi sweet chocolate chips
