Ingredients  

  • 0.5 pound red or russet potatoes
  • 0.5 pound bacon, sliced, cut crosswise into 1/4" wide strips
  • 1 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1 onion, peeled and diced into 1/4" cubes
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen corn
  • 1 tablespoon garlic (3 cloves), finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, finely chopped or 1/2 tsp. dry thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 cup whole milk
  • 0.666667 cup heavy cream
  • 1.5 pound piece of salmon fillet, skin discarded and fish cut into 1" pieces
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
