Seared Ahi Nicoise Salad and Avocado Relish

Seared Ahi and avocado make this salad healthy and delicious!

Ingredients  

  • header Seared Ahi Nicoise Salad
  • 4 ounce Fresh Ahi, seasoned and seared 1 minute on each side
  • 2 Heads Manoa lettuce, cleaned with core removed
  • 1 White or red potato, blanched fork tender and sliced
  • 1 Roma tomato sliced, or 6 grape tomatoes halved
  • 1 Properly boiled egg, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Of your favorite olives (classically nicoise, not California olives) chopped
  • 0.25 cup Green beans, properly blanched and sliced
  • 1 pinch Thinly sliced red onion
  • 4 tablespoon Red wine vinaigrette
  • 1 tablespoon Avocado relish
  • 1 pinch Grated parmesan cheese, to taste
  • header Avocado relish
  • 1 diced avocado
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Minced onion
  • 0.5 teaspoon Jalapeno flesh, minced
  • 0.25 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 dash olive oil
  • 1 salt and pepper, to taste
