Maika‘i Program Terms and Conditions
Your Maikaʻi Membership:
Each individual is limited to a single Maikaʻi membership. Foodland/Sack N Save/ Foodland Farms may cancel the membership of any individual who has enrolled more than once and may decline to provide and/or may cancel any awards or rewards associated with multiple memberships for the same individual.
How to Use Your Maikaʻi Membership:
Look for specially marked Maikaʻi items throughout the store. When purchasing any such items, provide your cashier with the phone number registered with your Maikaʻi membership prior to having your items scanned at checkout. Your Maikaʻi savings will be automatically calculated and printed on your receipt. Only the member named on the Maikaʻi account may redeem points for rewards. Foodland/ Sack N Save/ Foodland Farms reserves the right to verify the identification of the individual attempting to redeem points for rewards at checkout. Foodland/Sack N Save/Foodland Farms is not responsible for computer malfunction or technical errors of any kind in conjunction with use of your membership. The selection of qualifying Maikaʻi items and the duration of discounts on such items are solely at the discretion of Foodland/Sack N Save/Foodland Farms. Foodland/Sack N Save/Foodland Farms, in its sole discretion, may revoke or suspend a member’s account at any time. Foodland/Sack N Save/Foodland Farms, in its sole discretion, may modify or terminate the Maikaʻi program in whole or in part. Any fraudulent act or statement by a member in conjunction with Maikaʻi membership (including, but not limited to, fraudulent use of membership) may result in revocation of membership and permanent exclusion from the Maikaʻi program. Foodland/Sack N Save/Foodland Farms may prosecute fraudulent conduct to the fullest extent allowable under civil and criminal law.
For each dollar you spend using your Maikaʻi membership at Foodland/Sack N Save/Foodland Farms stores (excluding purchases of liquor, tobacco, postage stamps, bus passes, gift certificates, gift cards, taxes, bottle fees and/or where otherwise stated), you will receive one Maikaʻi point. Your Maikaʻi point balance is printed on the bottom of your receipt. In addition, you can check on your point balance by asking a cashier or customer service representative, at Foodland.com, on the Foodland mobile device application, or by texting “POINTS” to 62924. Accumulated Maikaʻi points expire on a rolling basis, one year or 12 months after being earned. Maikaʻi points also may be earned for certain online transactions.
Enrolled Maikaʻi members may redeem earned points in-store for rewards. Maikaʻi points also may be used in certain online transactions. Maikaʻi points will be deducted from your account when points are redeemed. Points may be redeemed for your choice of a Maikaʻi percent savings off a grocery purchase (excluding liquor, tobacco, postage stamps, bus passes, gift cards, taxes, bottle fees and/or where otherwise stated), HawaiianMiles, free/specially priced product, instant savings off a grocery purchase or other promotional offers as determined by Foodland/Sack N Save/Foodland Farms. To redeem points for rewards in-store, provide any cashier with the phone number registered with your Maikaʻi membership or with a physical or virtual Maikaʻi card. Only the Maika’i member named on the account may redeem points for rewards. You may be asked to present a photo ID when redeeming Maika’i points for rewards to verify that you are the enrolled member named on the account. To redeem your Maikaʻi Points for HawaiianMiles, you must first have a HawaiianMiles account and link it to your Maikaʻi membership at foodland.com/earn-hawaiianmiles. To ensure that your miles are sent to Hawaiian Airlines, be sure to provide your cashier with the phone number registered for your Maikaʻi account and let the cashier know that you would like to redeem your Maikaʻi points for HawaiianMiles. HawaiianMiles will be credited to the registered Maikaʻi member. Terms and Conditions of the HawaiianMiles program are applicable. Maika’i members agree to receive special offers and other information by text message, email and electronic means on a periodic basis. This is not a condition of purchasing any goods and services. Members may opt out of receiving electronic communications at any time through the platform from which they received. For text message, text STOP to opt-out or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. For email, click the “unsubscribe” link in the email that you received. General: We may release customer information as required or permitted to do so by federal, state, or local law, to respond to duly authorized information requests of legal or governmental regulatory authorities, or to enforce or protect the legal rights, property, or operations of Foodland, its employees, its agents or its customers.
Maikaʻi Membership: Foodland/Sack N Save/Foodland Farms collects information on Maikaʻi member transactions that are stored electronically in our database. The type of information collected includes a member’s or additional registered user’s name, email address, phone number, zip code, birthdate (MM/DD) and purchasing information. This information may be used internally as part of special merchandising and promotion programs. We may from time to time disclose non-personally identifiable compilations of information to third parties for marketing related purposes. If you do not choose to participate in our internal marketing programs, we will honor your request to have your name(s) removed from our database for internal marketing programs. Mail a written request to the Maikaʻi Department address stated below with a statement similar to: “I request that you remove my name from the Maikaʻi database for use in Foodland/Sack N Save/Foodland Farms marketing programs. I do not wish to receive marketing materials through the mail or e-mails.” It is the policy of Foodland/Sack N Save/Foodland Farms that we do not sell, rent, or relinquish personally identifiable information to third party vendors, suppliers, or marketers. We recognize that transaction data is a resource that we use on a confidential basis to improve customer service, lower costs and create personalized merchandising and marketing programs for Maikaʻi members. Except as described above, we will not release information you provide to us in connection with Maikaʻi membership, except as required or permitted to do so by federal, state, or local law, to respond to duly authorized information requests of legal or governmental regulatory authorities, or to enforce or protect the legal rights, property, or operations of Foodland/Sack N Save/Foodland Farms, its employees, its agents or its customers.
