FOODLAND SUPER MARKET, LIMITED “A Hui Hou with Uncle Ed’s” SWEEPSTAKES – OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
1. PROMOTION PERIOD:
The Foodland “A Hui Hou with Uncle Ed’s” Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) begins at 9:00:00 AM Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time (HAST) on Tuesday September 9, 2025 and ends at 1:00:00 PM on Wednesday September 10, 2025 (“Promotion Period”).
2. ELIGIBILITY:
The Sweepstakes is open only to legal U.S. citizens who are 21 years of age or older as of September 9, 2025. No purchase necessary and need not be present to win. A purchase does not increase chances of winning. The following individuals are ineligible to participate in the Sweepstakes:
- Directors, officers, employees, and agents of Foodland Super Market, Limited (“Foodland”) and Uncle Ed’s Premium Spirits, and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and advertising and promotional agencies.
- The immediate families of the group in section 2.A., including, but not limited to, their spouses, children, siblings, parents, in-laws, grandmothers, grandfathers, grandchildren, and any spouse thereof.
- A person residing in the same household as any of the groups in sections 2.A. and 2.B.
3. HOW TO ENTER:
This sweepstakes is open only to those who like the “A Hui Hou with Uncle Ed’s” Instagram post of the day, follow @FoodlandHI and @Uncleedsdamngood and tag a friend in the comment section of the post.
The entry must fulfill all sweepstakes requirements, as specified herein, to be eligible to win the prizes. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Foodland. No more than one entry per account or person is allowed per day. If more than one entry per account or person is received, only the first entry received will be accepted.
To enter without having an Instagram account, hand write your full name, daytime and evening telephone numbers, email address, valid residential address (no P.O. Box addresses) on a 3”x5” index card and mail in a first-class postage prepaid envelope (“envelope”) to: Foodland “A Hui Hou with Uncle Ed’s” sweepstakes, c/o Foodland Super Market, Limited, 3536 Harding Ave., Honolulu, HI 96816. Each valid entry made by mailed index card will be entered into the drawing and shall be voided thereafter. There is a limit of one index card per envelope, and one entry per person. Mailed entries must be received by September 10, 2025. Hand-delivered, mass produced, mechanically/digitally produced, machine printed, or typewritten entries will not be accepted.
All entries become the sole and exclusive property of Foodland and receipt of entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Foodland will not be responsible for entries excluded or deemed ineligible due to reasons beyond Foodland’s control, including, but not limited to, lost, late, insufficient postage, mutilated, incomplete, illegible, postage-due or unintelligible entries, or technological failures of any kind, or reasons due to the method of delivery or service.
Entries are limited to one per person, regardless of the entry method used. If more than one entry per person is received, only the first entry received will be accepted.
Submission of contact information in connection with this Sweepstakes (whether or not required), including, without limitation, providing your mailing address, phone number, email address, etc. during entry constitutes permission for Foodland to use entrant’s personal information for purposes of administration of the Sweepstakes and for other purposes permitted by Foodland’s Privacy Policy located at https://foodland.com/privacy-policy/including contacting you regarding new promotional and special offers, sales, and new features available through our websites. You may opt-out of receiving such communications as set forth in Foodland’s Privacy Policy or as provided within any such marketing materials. You understand that you are providing your information to Sponsor. The information you provide to Foodland will only be used in accordance with Foodland’s Privacy Policy.
4. RANDOM DRAWINGS AND PRIZES:
Prizes: One winner (“Winner”) will receive four (4) tickets to the A Hui Hou Fiji Tribute Concert Saturday, September 13th at the Tom Moffat Waikiki Shell (“Prize”). The approximate retail value of the Prize is $0.
Winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted by Foodland, on or about September 11, 2025, from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received. Winner will be notified via Instagram direct message and must accept messages in their app settings. In Foodland’s sole discretion, an alternate Winner may be drawn in the event Foodland is unable to contact any Winner. Winner is responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes, if applicable, and must provide Foodland with valid identification and a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number on an IRS Form W-9 before any Prize will be awarded. Winner must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to collect and redeem the Prize. A valid identification and proof of age shall be required.
The winner will be required to sign a Declaration of Eligibility and Release of Liability before the Prize can be awarded. Failure to sign and return the Declaration of Eligibility and Release of Liability at the time of prize pickup may result in a Prize winner’s disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the Prize, and the award of the Prize to an alternate Prize winner in Foodland’s sole discretion.
All prizes are “AS IS” without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. No substitution, exchange or transfer of prizes will be made or is permitted except in Foodland’s sole discretion. Winners are responsible for any loss of Prize after it has been delivered. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen Prize.
5. GENERAL:
By entering the Sweepstakes, you agree: (a) to be bound by the Sweepstakes Rules; (b) to release and hold harmless Sponsors, including their respective stockholders, directors, officers, employees, subsidiaries, agents, Prize suppliers, and representatives from any liabilities, claims, damages, or losses arising out of or relating in any way to the information provided for your entry in the Sweepstakes, your breach of any of the Sweepstakes rules, or your acceptance, use, misuse, or possession of any Prize received in the Sweepstakes; and (c) to allow Foodland and Uncle Ed’s to use, without additional compensation, notice, stipulation, or approval, your name or photo and/or likeness and other personal information for advertising or publicity purposes in any media; and (d) to bear sole responsibility for any taxes or other liabilities and obligations resulting from the acceptance and use of your Prize.
The Sweepstakes is subject to change without notice and all judgments and decisions made by Foodland are final. Inaccurate, fraudulent, or falsified entries or failure to comply with the Sweepstakes rules may result in disqualifications or forfeiture of Prizes in the sole discretion of Foodland.
Neither Sponsors will provide any warranties or guaranties with respect to the Prizes, expressed or implied, including, but not limited to the implied warranties or guaranties of merchantability, appropriateness, fitness for a particular purpose, competency, safety, or security of the Prizes.
If any provision of the Sweepstakes Rules is held to be unenforceable, it will be modified so that it is enforceable to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law and all other terms will remain in full force. If the unenforceable provision cannot be so modified, it will be excluded from the Sweepstakes Rules, and all other terms of the Sweepstakes Rules will remain in full force.
The Sweepstakes Rules may not be altered, amended, changed, waived, terminated or modified in any respect or particular unless the same shall be in writing and consented to by the Sponsors. No failure or delay of Foodland in exercising any right, power, or privilege hereunder shall operate as a waiver of any such right, power, or privilege; no single or partial exercise of any such right, power or privilege shall preclude any other or further exercise thereof; and no waiver of any of the provisions of the Sweepstakes Rules shall be deemed, or shall constitute, a waiver of any other provision, whether or not similar, and no waiver shall constitute a continuing waiver.
The Sweepstakes Rules shall be construed, governed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Hawaii without giving effect to principles of conflict of laws.
The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law, and subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. some restrictions may apply.
Foodland and Uncle Ed’s are the sponsors of the Sweepstakes.
