Cranberry Apple Stuffing

Pairs perfectly with your favorite roast turkey

  • 6 bacon, diced
  • 1 pound Italian sausage, casing removed
  • 1 onion, diced 1/8"
  • 2 large celery rib, diced 1/8"
  • 0.5 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 2 granny smith apples, cored and cut into 1/4" dice
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 8 cups sweet bread, diced 1/2" and toasted
  • 0.25 pound butter
  • 3 cups turkey or chicken broth
  • salt and pepper, to taste


  1. In a medium sauté‚ pan, sweat bacon, and pork sausage.
  2. When cooked through, add in onion and celery.
  3. Cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Add in parsley, green onions, cranberries, apples, cinnamon and poultry seasoning.
  5. Add cooked ingredients (fat and all) to the sweet bread and fold.
  6. Moisten with butter and broth to taste, and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  7. Place in an oven proof pan and bake for 45 minutes covered.
