Quick and Easy Tiramisu

Now anyone can make this delicious favorite

  • 1 pound mascarpone cheese
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee
  • 0.5 cup hot coffee
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 butter pound cake


  1. Bring mascarpone cheese to room temperature.
  2. You may heat in the microwave in 30 second increments until it is soft.
  3. Do not over heat.
  4. Combine the 1/2 cup sugar and yolks and heat over a double broiler until sugar is completely melted.
  5. Whip to ribbon stage- light yellow and at least double in volume.
  6. Combine the instant coffee and the hot coffee together and dissolve completely.
  7. Blend 3 Tbsp. of coffee mixture with egg mixture.
  8. Blend the egg mixture into the mascarpone cheese, do not over mix.
  9. Whip the heavy cream until it has soft peak and add to the mascarpone mixture.
  10. Blend until incorporated evenly, but Do Not Over Blend.
  11. Take the remaining coffee mixture and add the 3 Tbsp. of sugar to it, mix until dissolved.
  12. Slice the butter pound cake into 1/4" slices.
  13. Place a layer of pound cake into a 9" x 9" glass baking dish.
  14. Brush the pound cake with the sweetened coffee mixture.
  15. Pour 1/3 of the mascarpone mixture over the pound cake slices.
  16. Dust 1 Tbsp. of cocoa powder over the mascarpone.
  17. Repeat this process 2 more times ending with the mascarpone mixture.
  18. Dust the top with cocoa powder.
  19. Chill until ready to serve.
