Ahi Poke Wontons
Ahi Poke Wontons
"Poke is a staple and is always at every potluck, birthday party, and family gathering. This is poke with a twist using minimal ingredients with a whole lot of flavor." - Sonia S., Foodland Ambassador, Instagram: @glitterandchopsticks
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound Spicy Ahi Poke
- 1 package Wonton wrappers (Sun Noodle brand)
- 3 Jalapenos, sliced thinly (approximately 1/8")
- Unagi sushi sauce (Kikkoman)
- Green onions for garnish
- Neutral oil for frying
- Water
Instructions
- Place approximately 1 tablespoon of poke on the wonton wrapper and top with a jalapeno slice.
- Add a little water on all edges of the wrapper to ensure the wrapper closes. Fold the wrapper into a triangle, securing the poke and jalapeno in place. Then fold both tip corners in to form a "purse-like" shape.
- On medium to high heat, deep fry in neutral oil for a few minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Place on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
- Once slightly cooled off, arrange on a serving plate and drizzle unagi sauce on the wontons. Garnish with green onions and enjoy!
