Maui Onion Mushroom Burger

Servings 2 burgers

Ingredients  

  • 2 Foodland Certified Angus Beef Classic Burgers
  • 1 Large Maui onion sliced
  • 4 Mushrooms sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Maika'i Maui Onion & Garlic Mustard
  • 2 Onion buns
  • 2 slices Provolone cheese optional
  • 1 tablespoon Mayo optional

Instructions 

  • In a skillet, cook sliced onions in butter over medium heat until soft. Add sliced mushrooms midway through and cook until golden brown. Set aside.
  • Grill burger patties or pan fry 2-3 minutes each side, or until you achieve your desired doneness. Remove from heat and place provolone cheese on top to begin melting.
  • Toast buns insides down on a grill surface for 20 seconds.
  • Place the cooked patty with cheese on the bottom bun. Next, add the caramelized onions & mushrooms. Then finish with a light topping of Maika'i Maui Onion & Garlic Mustard and mayo to the top bun.
