Fried Saimin
"This is a quick and easy dish that you can make at home with leftovers. It also makes a great potluck pupu." - Chef Desmond Teves, Culinary Sous Chef
Ingredients
- 2 packages Ichiban Saimin (chicken or shrimp)
- 1/2 can Spam (sliced)
- 1 package Kamaboko (sliced)
- 3 Eggs, scrambled omelet style (sliced)
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 tablespoon Canola oil
Instructions
- In a pot, boil water and add two packs of saimin noodles. Let the noodles cook for 1 minute and 30 seconds then strain noodles.
- Shock noodles in ice bath, then strain again and let them air dry.
- Pre-heat frying pan with oil then stir fry the sliced Spam and Kamaboko.
- Add noodles and two packets of the saimin soup base to the pan and mix together.
- Season noodles with pepper.
- Beat eggs in a bowl and make a thin omelet in a separate pan. Let the eggs cool and slice into strips.
- Garnish dish with eggs and green onions.
