Sauteed Hamakua Ali'i Mushrooms
The simple secret to this delicious dish is a hot pan. Makes a great side dish on its own, or use it for anything from a bruschetta appetizer or steak entrée topping to a superb omelet filling.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces packages Hamakua Ali'i Mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 5 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1 lemon wedge
- 1 tablespoon fresh Italian parsley, rough chopped
- fresh cracked pepper, to taste
- sea salt, to taste
Instructions
- Slice mushrooms length-wise in quarters.
- Heat a sauté pan on high heat for approximately 2 minutes.
- Add butter. When butter is melted and begins to foam, add mushrooms. Cook mushrooms, stirring or tossing occasionally until golden brown.
- Add garlic, stir. Let cook for another 30 seconds then squeeze in lemon juice.
- Season with salt and pepper and finish with parsley.
